-- My name is Todd Hunter and art has always been a big part of my life. My father has been my biggest art inspiration. He is a great oil, acrylic, and water color painter. In the last 10 years or so he started the art of wood burning. He does stuff on wood that you wouldn’t believe. Check out some of his work at www.thundertopstudio.com Thanks dad.
I also want to thank my beautiful wife Kara and my two children Jeffrey and Hailey for their love and support. It is truly what drives me to become the best that I can be. In all aspects.
I started drawing at about the age of ten and continued for most of my adolescence. I really started taking it seriously when I got into high school. I used it for a release when I was mad, sad and when I was happy. Art always has been there for me.
Tattooing is more than just an art form to me. The fact that what I do lives and breathes is something that words can’t explain. It’s the feeling that I get when my client looks into the mirror when I am finished with a piece. The joy on their face makes me know that there isn’t another thing that can top that for me.
I opened Eternal Images in October of 1996 to bring Central New York quality custom body art. I not only love what I do, I respect the art that I do. My job isn’t to stick pictures on people. It is to bring what your thinking into my head and design a piece of body art that is yours and only yours. I do not duplicate your custom designs and I will take the time that is needed to do it right. The first time. You have my word on that. I am certified through the New York State Board of Health in Infection Control and Barrier Control. I can insure you that I have taken the time to make sure that your visit to Eternal Images is going to be a safe and satisfying one.
I love all styles of tattooing but I have to say that my favorite type to do is portraits . I only do them in black and gray. I think that this way shows the face the most realistic, and lasts the test of time better then in color.
My other artistic interests are painting, which I am not great at but enjoy doing. I also love photography, wood burning and the art of contemporary lamp working (Glass blowing). I am also in the process of building my personal web site to show case some of my non-living art work, so check back soon for that.
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me and please remember never underestimate the power of art.
