Re: Eternal Images Tattoo Convention

We would like to say that was one of the best tattoo conventions we have ever attended. With 17 years of professional tattooing experience between us, attending conventions in the US, Puerto Rico and Europe, we had one of the best times we have ever had a tattoo convention. Here's why:"

The price of the hotel room was included in the booth fee and Eternal Images handled hotel reservations. Even if this means a raise in price in the future, it still saved us a lot of hassle.

Todd called us the day before to make sure we knew how to get there, including giving us his cell phone with specific instructions to call him if we get lost.
Everyone from Eternal Images was very welcoming and helpful as we were setting up.

Todd and Randy did not Tattoo at the show, but devoted all their energy to being full-time hosts, making sure that everyone had some tattoos to do.

No entry fee were charged for the competition.
An independent person who is knowledgeable about art (an art teacher at a local college) judged competitions according to specific criteria.

The atmosphere was friendly and mellow, without gossip and badmouthing, mainly due to attitude of hosts.

The convention included an art fusion project, in which all those present were encouraged to collaborate on large drawings. These were later to be auctioned with the proceeds donated to charity.

In general, the overall attitude of the convention was that tattoo artist are professional artist, and we will definitely attend in the future, as well as encourage other artists to participate.

Having been tattooing for 14 years now, I've seen a lot of shows ge stagnant over the last few years. Todd and Randy kept this show small, to make sure everyone stayed buzzing away the whole weekend. They also went out of their way to insure only quality, professional artists were working the show. In a time when numbers are the name of the game for conventions, they went against the grain and created an atmosphere that echoed what shows used to be.

Todd and Randy were very accommodating as well. Anything you needed, they made sure you got. For a small venue, it packed a huge bang thanks to its' organizers. it's a definite, must-do show. I'll be back every year!
